Funding Opportunities
Many of the Registered Student Organizations on campus need funding in order to host a successful event, raise awareness on campus, or to advertise about the goals or purpose of their RSO. Whatever the reason, we have some funding opportunities available to RSOs in order to help you be successful.
Student Programming Grant
Each semester, the Division of Student Affairs Equity and Diversity allocates $25,000 to Registered Student Organizations at WSU. As this is the most popular funding opportunity on campus, it is important to complete the application thoroughly and provide as much budgetary information as possible. You can read more about the Student Programming Grant online or contact Tim Richel with any specific questions.
Coke Activation Fund
Registered Student Organizations and University departments or units can apply for free Coca Cola products for WSU events. These events must be FREE and open to all students at WSU. A minimum of two weeks lead-time and majority committee member's approval will be required for each request. To see if your event is eligible, fill out and submit the Coke Activation Fund Request Form or contact Brian Shuffield with questions.
VPLAC Grant
The Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts Committee provides funding to WSU-Pullman campus student organizations, academic department, and support units for events or projects that involve the arts and provide students with unique opportunities for access to cultural and artistic activities. For more information, please access the VPLAC Grant information or the VPLAC Grant Application.
Student Advertising Fund
CougParents Fund
The CougParents Program is housed through the WSU Foundation and supports RSOs annually through the CougParent Fund. These funds are awarded based on need, the number of students being served, and the educational benefits of the event. Following application submission, the committee will screen for minimum criteria and then invite RSOs to present their proposals directly to the CougParent Advisory Board. Read more in CougParent Program section to the left or contact Janet McGough or Cheryl Harrelson with any specific inquiries about the Fund.
ASWSU
The Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU) has some year-round funding opportunites for students and student organizations. For more information, please visit their website.
Fundraising Ideas
Some grants might not be offered when you need them the most. If you are seeking funds to host an event, you can have a bake sale, car wash, sell raffle tickets, or seek out Pullman community sponsorship.
