Student Involvement

Arts, Culture, VPLAC

  • Art engages. Art unifies. Art is the wellspring
    of culture worldwide.

WSU is a multicultural city of higher education. Art and culture must be part of students' daily lives if students are to grow as tomorrow's leaders in our increasingly multicultural world. The arts expand our capacity for empahy, understanding, and compassion.

Students in the College of Education integrate
    fine art into their curricula.

The office of Arts & Culture along with the Visual, Performing, and Literary Arts Committee (VPLAC) both infuse sophisticated vitality into the WSU Pullman campus.

Arts & Culture and VPLAC energize WSU with musical/theatrical performances, literary readings, presentations, and art exhibitions, always including students in their planning and design. Our mission of excellence is to bring world class art and cultural events to WSU and to make those events free for students and available for our regional community. We passionately advocate the arts in all of us!
